snow day

welcome to our new blog! i will try to update often, but no promises!

we had a SNOW DAY today! woo hoo! this was the first time emily got to play in the snow. at first, i wasn't sure what she thought of it. she took off her gloves at one point, touched the snow, made a quiet whimpering sound, then said, "let's go inside mommy." i must admit that i wasn't going to hesitate getting inside because i was cold too!



then, an hour or so later, our neighbors knocked on the door and invited us to use their sled. emily had a ball! she went down on her bottom a few times, then on her tummy. all in all, she probably sledded down our fron lawn a dozen times. each time, when she got to the bottom of the hill she would smile a huge smile and say, "i went really really fast." sooo cute!




then, after sledding a while, emily made a snow angel.



what a fun time! then we came in and emily ate two hard-boiled eggs. she'll probably grow an inch tonight!
