hi all! happy january 17, 2007!

we had another snow day today, and we didn't have to spend half of it in the car! it was nice to go to bed knowing that i didn't have to get up this morning to battle the elements! yesterday mike shoveled the driveway, so i had to add a pic of him doing that. by the way, if you click on the pictures a larger image should show up, that is if you're having trouble seeing what is going on in the smaller pics.



anyway, we had some more fun this morning. first we did our three puzzles two times each. then we played a game of memory. that was great fun! then we watched a little annie. emily is currently requesting "dumb dog" each time she thinks a scene is boring. after hanging out in the livingroom for a while we moved to the kitchen and made peanut butter cookies. emily mostly spent that time walking around with the splatter guard looking for animals. "i see a giraffe. hi mister giraffe."

then, to the snow. first we walked to the mailbox and on the way emily caught sight of a snowman! so guess what we did next. you got it, went straight to the backyard and made a snowman of our own. we didn't have any carrots or a corncob pipe, so we just used coal for eyes, nose, and buttons. then we put a small bungee cord for the mouth. it was fun!



after posing for a few shots with our new friend, "annie" the snow girl we went back to the front yard and made a couple snow angels. mommy made the big one.



then we went for a walk around the block and emily posed with a neighbors snow statue thingy.



i wonder if i'll have to go back to work tomorrow.
