mom's birthday

this year we had mom and dad over for a barbecue to celebrate mom's birthday. i'm very sorry to say we only took three pictures! so, here they are...

the first one says "happy birthday grandma" in sidewalk chalk. it's hard to see, so just trust me. the other two are grandma and grandpa doing "a hard move" with emily.


she's into "hard moves" these days. we hear a lot of, "watch me do this hard move!" then she'll balance on one foot and hold her hands in the air, or lay down and kick her feet up and balance on her rear. remember that? hearing or saying, "mommy, mommy, watch me!" so fun!

this last one was taken the next day. it was one of the few dry days we had this month, so we took advantage by playing in the front yard.


hopefully spring will start soon and we'll have more opportunities to enjoy the yard! it snowed again today! where was all this snow a few months ago when we it was wanted and hoped for? now that we want sun, we're getting snow. mixed up seasons!
