halloween night
wow, i'm past due on this one, but here are some shots of our fun halloween night.

this is grandma dressed up like a witch, chasing em around... at one point she stopped and said, "you're really my grandma, right?" hee hee... that's when grandma stopped, picked her up, and assured her that yes, she was just her grandma in a witch costume.

here's emily dressed up and dancing around in her costume. she decided pretty early on that she wanted to be a fairy. then, she saw the wizard of oz and she wanted to be glinda the good witch. so, a day or so before the big night she announced that she would be 'glinda the good fairy,' which is what she told all the people who inquired about her costume. although, at one house a man asked, "and who are you?" to which she replied, "i'm barbie." what?

here she is with grandma and grandpa:

family pic then off we go to meet up with some friends who live around the corner.
here's em with her friend. they ran and laughed from house to house. we hardly spoke to her the whole time except to remind her to say, "trick-or-treat," and "thank you."

here are dad and em going through the loot... remember that all you who haven't trick-or-treated in a while? it really is a fun night!

we had another celebration that night too... mike's 41st birthday! we had enchiladas (mike's requested b'day dinner) cheesecake (mike's favorite cake) and he got to open a few gifts... what a great night it was!

i always promise to be better, but we'll see...
maybe you'll get some shots from our fun snow day later this week and maybe you won't. ;)
