snow days and christmas program

it snowed a bit at our house on sunday and has been cold and snowy ever since. we couldn't resist getting all bundled up and heading out a few times. the temp, however, was something like 21 degrees, and when you add the wind chill it was more like 12. we couldn't take it for too long.

it snowed a bit more in the afternoon, so we headed back out. there was enough snow for a snowball fight this time!



then we pulled out the sled...



here's emily back in the house warming up. you can't tell from this picture, but she had pulled her beanbag directly in front of the fire place.



we were home all day sunday and monday because of the snow and cold. luckily preschool wasn't canceled on tuesday, which was the day they had scheduled the christmas program. emily had me and daddy, grandma and grandpa, and grandma pat and gregg there to watch her. i took quite a few pictures but they were all blurry. here are the only two that turned out very well. my mom took quite a few as well, so you can probably expect to see them on her picture site.



the rest of these pictures were taken this morning. it was quite a bit warmer so we could stay out a little longer. we walked to the park and built a baby snowman. the two big snowmen were already there, but we couldn't resist the picture.



it's suppose to snow quite a bit more this weekend, so there may be more pictures to come! also, i'll try to get some shots of what we've been doing to occupy ourselves inside the house over the past few days. wait, pictures of people playing candyland and go fish aren't that exciting... :)
