9 days of snow and still counting!
wow! snow, snow, snow! i'll start with two pics of emily in the house on saturday morning... candyland is getting a pretty good workout.

these next two shots are mike leaving and then returning home from a walk to QFC, which is about 1/4 of a mile from our house. very convenient location for times like these...

emily had some time this week to practice the piano...

we went out saturday afternoon to sled down the hill in our front yard. it was SUPER cold! emily pretty much just stood in one spot the whole five minutes we were out, but i slid down a few times, which explains the strange shot of me from behind...

sunday morning, in the house, all warm, playing cowgirl, yee haw!

back outside, checking out the 1/4" of icy freezing rain that fell and covered the 12" on snow. we really had to punch our feet through the ice to make it to the deep snow. i tried to include a video but i must have been doing something wrong because it simply wouldn't work for me, so sorry about that. i'll shoot another one tomorrow. anyway, em had trouble walking because of the ice, so mike picked her up and she would essentially jump through the ice with each step.

here we are back in that house, drinking hot cocoa, and acting like wild cats. although looking back at the photos i think we were acting like caged animals, since that's what we've been for a week now!

sunday afternoon it snowed some more...

wow! what a week! and it's not over. we went sledding today at the park near our house, which was fun. we also made the most of our time in the house and made holiday cookies and brownies to hand out to the neighbors. who knows how long this will last, but we're having fun with it...
