celebrate good times! come on!

the past couple of weeks have a been a lot of fun. my birthday is at the end of april, emily's is may 10th, and then sunday may 13th was mother's day. we have been doing a lot of fun eating, gift opening, and spending time with family and friends.
thanks to everyone who remembered us during this fun time!

we started out with easter... easter morning at home and easter afternoon at grandma and grandpa's:



this shot is to give you an idea of how hard it is to get a good picture of emily. when we ask her to smile, this is the face she makes... lovely!



we don't have any pics of my birthday, but we had a lovely time.

next are pictures of emily's actual birthday day and then of her birthday party. it is evident that emily is not only an only child, but an only grandchild... she's very loved (and a bit over-indulged at times). what're you gonna do?

this year for mother's day we went to mcmenamin's edgefield mother's day brunch. they had a delicious, and crowded, buffet.



edgefield was also having a plant sale. none of us bought anything, but we all enjoyed wandering around and seeing the pretty flowers, shrubs, and plants.



of course, we had to pose for some portraits... aren't we a lovely group? =)



this pic is out of order, timewise, but i thought i'd mention that we got one of scott's paintings a month or so ago. this picture is kind of blurry, but it is what it is...



so, that's may. wow, is time flying or what? soon i will be home full time, and i can hardly wait!
